Dr. Ragu Bharadwaj from Nyrasta LLC specializes in helping define and build solutions for hard to define problems. Unlike typical consultants, Ragu immerses himself deeply with the client’s corporation, getting his hand dirty as needed with scientific papers, algorithms, and data, while also remaining involved at the higher strategic level. Ragu has worked in areas as diverse as agricultural tech, aqua-tech, pharma, fracking, logistics, linguistics, and many others.
Prior to his current role, Ragu headed the Data Science practice at TopCoder, where he worked with customers such as NASA and large corporations on crowdsourcing solutions for their problems. Prior to TopCoder, Ragu was a computational chemist at Vertex Pharmaceuticals, on their team which developed a currently (and likely the only) marketed treatment for Cystic Fibrosis. Ragu has a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from Columbia University, and a SM in Systems Design and Management from the Sloan School at MIT.
